Dual Enrollment students can text @wovcde to 81010 to join our new Dual Enrollment Remind group in which we will provide updates to items that may be relevant to students that do not attend West Orange HS during the day.
Acceptance letters to the students who applied for the Fall 2020 DE program (application cycle Jan 27th-Mar 2nd) were sent this week. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Department of Education has issued Emergency Order No. 2020-EO-02, allowing Valencia College to accept students into the Dual Enrollment Program using their successful academic record demonstrated by a minimum unweighted high school GPA of 3.0. - only applicable to the Fall 2020 Dual Enrollment Application Cycle.
In the acceptance letter, students will be asked to create their Atlas account and to please await further communication in the coming weeks. As also outlined in the acceptance letter, registration for new Dual Enrollment students will begin on Monday, June 29th. Once students create their Atlas account, they will be able to check their registration time ticket in Atlas (“Courses” tab -> Registration -> Registration Status -> Fall 2020).
West Orange HS students can get college credit for successful completion of classes on the West Orange High School campus. The Gaetz Aerospace Institute of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University will have an adjunct Professor on campus teaching two courses in conjunction with the AFJROTC program.
