ATTENTION CLASS OF 2026 STUDENTS AND PARENTS!!!

Students: Come join your class for the Senior Sunrise Breakfast.

When: Wednesday, Aug 27 (6:15-7am)

Where: Grab your breakfast at the senior parking lot entrance and head to the field with your class to enjoy the sunrise.

The Beta Club will be having an informational meeting for persons wishing to join the Beta Club on Thursday, August 21st @ 2:30pm in Room 527.

The Beta club is open to all grades, but does require a 3.2 or higher Weighted GPA.

Applications can be found on the Club’s Band or Instagram Page.

New member dues are $45 ($35 national initiation fee and $10 WOHS). If this will create a financial hardship please contact either Mr. Murtagh or Mr. Turner.

Returning members are urged to fill out the returning member form on our Band or Instagram pages, as soon as possible.

WEST ORANGE JUNIORS AND SENIORS:

It’s time to consider the National Honor Society!  If you have a cumulative, weighted GPA of 3.5 or above, and you want to apply to the 2025-2026 National Honor Society, please read this message carefully.  Use your OCPS school account when accessing the NHS Google Form.  To initiate the NHS application process, follow the steps below:

• Click on the following link:  https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1kO_7CfVZWkG1S3jCDvTOZLhkR-rYqFRockdfNaVnh4s/edit?chromeless=1 

• Complete Sections 1, 2, and 3 of the “2025-2026 NHS Membership Application Form.”  Read and follow all instructions precisely.

• Submit your answers and print the NHS application.  (For the questions regarding your schedule, please put “Unknown” or “NA” for periods 1-7 until you receive your official schedule). 

•  After your schedule is finalized, please edit the document immediately.  It is vital that NHS knows your class schedule.     

• Remember, you must SUBMIT the electronic form in addition to PRINTING and RETURNING the application. 

• If you can’t print the paper application, copies will be available in Room 522 starting on the first day of school.

• THE NHS APPLICATION DEADLINE IS SEPTEMBER 2, 2025 – NO EXCEPTIONS.  RETURN APPLICATIONS TO MR. SMITH IN ROOM 522.  GOOD LUCK!

Art club:

Are you interested in visual arts? Then don’t miss out on our Art Club info meeting Tuesday in room 622 to learn about hand-on workshops, prestigious art competitions and volunteer opportunities! Open to all skill levels— just bring your creativity! And also don’t forget to grab some cookies!

Aviation Club:

Aviation Club will be holding its first meeting of the year in Room 550 after school on Wednesday, August 20th. All are welcome. There will be free pizza. Questions, contact Mr. Noe.

Girls Basketball & Flag Football:

Any girls interested in playing Basketball or Flag Football this school year please meet in Room 527 after school Thursday at 2:30. Any questions see Coach Chance

Guitar club:

Guitar club will be holding their first meeting of the year in room 709 in the cafeteria directly after school on Wednesday 8/20. All are welcome!

HOSA:

HOSA's first meeting of the year will be on Wednesday August 27th in room 541 at 1:20

Key Club:

August 27th is going to be the first Key Club meeting for the 2025-2026 school year. Every grade level is allowed to drop-by and visit and there will be cookies and treats for those that show up and stay throughout the entire meeting. It won't take long as it is only the introduction to what the year will have to offer regarding community service and leadership bonding. It is in room 512 so please stop by!!

Softball:

There is a softball interest meeting on Tuesday, August 19 @ 2:30p in room 963. All girls interested in playing this year need to attend this meeting.

Spanish Honor Society:

The Spanish Honor Society is having the first meeting of the year right after school in room 527. This will be an informational meeting for students interested in becoming a member, and a mandatory meeting for old members since we are distributing very important information also.

Speech & Debate Club:

Speech & Debate Club will be holding an interest meeting at 2:30 PM Tuesday< August 19th in Room 635

Tabletop Club:

Tabletop Club focuses on roleplaying and board games such as Dungeons and Dragons. We will be holding our recruiting for the year in Room 550 after school on Friday, August 22nd. Free Pizza will be available. All are welcome! Questions, contact Mr. Noe.

Women In Stem:

Women In Stem Interest Meeting is this Thursday in room 514 at 2:30pm. There will be snacks, activities and the raffle winner will be announced.

Save the date - Please join us for a PTSO Meet and Greet on September 16th, 6-7:30PM at the Crooked Can Pavilion.  

Please sign up to be an Additions volunteer for the 2025-2026 school year with the PTSO.  Every year you are required to reapply for Additions.
